A teacher recorded himself making comments on the Hunter Biden, presidential election and vaccines in an elementary school classroom. Experts say it’s important for teachers to maintain appropriate boundaries when they are in the room with students.
A teacher was recorded by a parent during class, making comments on the Hunter Biden presidential election, vaccines and their effects. The school says they’re investigating if the statement violated any rules or policies to determine what action will be taken.
VENTURA, Calif. (CBSLA) — A Ventura middle school history teacher has been criticized for making political statements in the classroom, which were filmed by a student, and at least one parent believes the school has not responded appropriately.
On the tape, the teacher can be heard saying, “People need to wake up and recognize the government has much too much power right now.”

It was a lesson Sarah Silikula, the mom of the eighth grader who filmed the remarks, didn’t expect her son to learn.
Silikua instructed her son that if he ever felt uncomfortable with anything stated in class, he should take out his phone and start videotaping it, which the eighth grader did when his history instructor went on a political tirade in class.
“Hunter Biden, for example, is involved in criminal money-laundering activities with China and Ukraine. On his PC, he also possessed child pornography. The instructor was overheard stating, “He was having sexual intercourse with his own niece.”
“I mean, what’s the point?” “Why do we need to say it in this classroom full of kids?” Silikula wondered.
The event happened at Anacapa Middle School two weeks ago. Silikula claimed she immediately notified the school when her kid returned home befuddled.
“And when he got in the vehicle, he was unhappy.” ‘I’m never being vaccinated,’ he said. I’m never going to receive another shot of any type. ‘Did you know Trump is still in office?’ Silikula explained.
The instructor addresses immunizations in a seven-minute clip made on Oct. 18.
“They won’t give your kid back to you if you aren’t vaccinated if you have a baby in the hospital.” The teacher was overheard stating, “This is a total power control danger.”

The Anacapa Middle School teacher also made remarks regarding the legal system and the presidential election, with a teacher’s assistant noting that she didn’t need to talk about the election at one point.
Silikula stated, “I trusted her to teach him the truth of history, and she went off on this diatribe like a preacher on a pulpit.”
It was a turning point in Silikula’s relationship with her son, who now believes his instructor.
‘Dad, teachers know everything,’ he remarked when he first got in the vehicle. Dad, she’s absolutely correct. ‘You’re mistaken.’ He’s been harmed. He’s in pain. He’s terrified. He no longer has faith in his parents. Silikula stated of her kid, “He feels we lied to him.”
Silikua is more enraged by the fact that the other parents with children in the class are uninformed of the teacher’s political remarks in class.
The school district said that they conducted an inquiry into the event and that they do not approve of the conversation that occurred. They also informed CBSLA that they are implementing the teachers’ union-approved “progressive punishment policy.”
Silikula was informed by the administrator that her son’s whole class had been reassigned to another teacher, but she believes this is insufficient. She wants to be certain that the lesson learnt was that a teacher’s viewpoint should never be shared in the classroom.
“I accept everyone’s political beliefs, regardless of what they are. “It’s their faith,” Silikula said. “Please don’t force it on my kid, whom I have entrusted to your care.”
The identity of the teacher engaged in the event has been withheld by CBSLA since she has not been charged with a crime. The instructor was still at the school at the time of the latest report, and she had taken responsibility for her blunder.
