Carol Vorderman is “proud” of her son after he graduated with a master’s degree. Her son, Ben, was studying law at the University of York when he decided to switch to mathematics and study for a doctorate in order to become a professor.

Carol Vorderman has revealed her son is a graduate with a master’s degree after passing his final exam. The former Countdown star said she was “proud” of him following the news.

Carol Vorderman, a former Countdown star, turned to Instagram Stories to post a video of her youngest son Cameron, who has overcame obstacles to complete his studies.

Cameron, 24, earned his Master’s degree in animation and video effects from the University of Dundee.

‘We never dreamed this day would arrive when he graduated with first-class honours last year and is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Animation and VFX,’ she added.

‘Thank you, Dundee, for all you’ve done for him over the past year. Amazing.’

Carol, 60, who is also the mother of Katie, 30, posted a photo with her son as they prepared for his big day this week.

‘My Cameron and I are on our way to Dundee for his Master’s Graduation tomorrow,’ the math genius wrote.

Carol, seen here with son Cameron and daughter Katie, says she couldn't be prouder as Cameron celebrates his graduation.

Cameron has pushed for an education while battling’severe’ special educational needs, so this is an especially significant milestone for him.

He graduated in September despite being ‘bullied’ for having specific educational requirements, and he thanked the public for their support in a moving video.

‘Thank you, everyone, for all your words of support, it truly means a lot to hear, particularly from individuals who have gone through similar experiences in life,’ Cameron said in a video released by his mother Carol.

‘I never imagined my acts would have such an impact on so many individuals.’ Similarly, I never imagined I would make it this far in life, but it is precisely what motivated me to do so.’

‘After being told and proven that I would never be able to do anything meaningful, I began to believe it, but one feeling saved me from giving up: spite,’ he added. The want to defy everyone who predicted my failure, but most significantly, to defy myself.’

‘Despite the prior version of myself, I will continue to improve and achieve things I never imagined I’d be capable of.’ I never imagined I’d be able to do it. So, if you have any doubts about yourself, simply consider the thrill of proving everyone, including yourself, incorrect because, believe me, it is really rewarding.’

Carol previously discussed her son’s learning disabilities and how he was labeled “unteachable” at school.

Carol and Cameron spoke on the ITV program with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to discuss the need for more professional aid in schools that is more accessible to all students.

‘I have high-spectrum dyslexia, ADD, a smidgeon of ADHD, weak short-term memory… and I can’t smell very well,’ Cameron said.

Carol Vorderman has a lot more to say.

Carol and Cameron spoke on the ITV program with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to discuss the need for more professional aid in schools that is more accessible to all students.

Carol stated Cameron’s illnesses were detailed in a ‘Venn diagram,’ which included many branches of neurodivergent diseases.
