The question has been asked by many people, but no one really knows the answer. In this blog, we will explore how running into walls can be dangerous and why you should avoid it.
The running through the wall is a question that many people ask themselves. It is not an easy answer to give, as everyone’s situation is different.
Few players in the NBA could match Arenas, Gilbert’ scoring ability for a short period of time. Agent Zero had an 11-year NBA career in which he averaged 20.7 points per game while playing for four different clubs. His best years were from 2005 to 2007, when he averaged 25.5, 29.3, and 28.4 points per game with the Washington Wizards.
Arenas’ tenure as an All-Star was brief, but he more than made up for his second-round pick in the NBA Draft in 2001. The 39-year-old, on the other hand, explained how and why his draft status plummeted 20 years ago.
Gilbert Arenas was expected to be selected early in the first round.
Arenas played collegiate basketball for the Arizona Wildcats, where he had a brief but fruitful career. Arenas was a full-time starter at Arizona for two seasons, averaging 15.8 points on 46.6 percent shooting. In 1999-00, he was named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team, and in 2001, he was named to the First Team All-Pac 10.
Gilbert was not only putting up impressive numbers, but he was also winning games. He and future NBA players Richard Jefferson and Luke Walton helped lead the Wildcats to the National Championship in his sophomore season, when they were defeated by the Duke Blue Devils 82-72. Arenas revealed his intention to become pro shortly after the championship game.
Arenas drew attention from a number of suitors as one of the top players in his conference and a key contributor for the national runner-up. One of them was the Boston Celtics, who possessed first-round choices 10 and 11 and were hoping to use at least one of them on a guard.

Arenas spoke on the All The Smoke podcast to discuss the selection process and his eventual fall into the second round, among other topics. Agent Zero revealed how the Celtics created a false narrative about the promising young player as a result of preventative steps for an injury.
Arenas told hosts Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, “It was [head coach] Jim O’Brien of the Boston Celtics.” “I worked out for two days there. They asked me to remain for the second day after I killed it in the first. However, I injured my Achilles, and I told myself, “If I don’t cure it, I’m going to miss the remainder of my tryouts.”
“He [O’Brien] spread the notion that I’m too young, that I’m not serious, that I’m not a player. That was the adage at the time. Because I sprained my Achilles tendon? What am I meant to do, test out for a team by running through the wall?”
Arenas went on to say that he tried out for 17 clubs but was passed over in the first round by none of them. Even on draft day, the former Arizona guard was enraged by the rejection.
Arenas stated, “I remember being so furious on draft day.” “Because I was supposed to be in the lottery when I came out. Until you get to Chicago, where everyone is a lottery winner.”
Arenas was a steal in the second round.
Despite the disappointment of being selected in the second round, Arenas didn’t have to wait long after the first 28 selections were made. The Golden State Warriors selected Arenas with the 31st overall selection after spending their two first-round picks on Jason Richardson and Troy Murphy.
Arenas started all 82 games in his second NBA season and averaged 18.2 points. He soon joined with the Wizards, where he turned into Agent Zero and became the All-Star player that so many people remember. The Celtics chose Joe Johnson and Kedrick Brown with their back-to-back first-round selections. Brown averaged 3.6 points across four NBA seasons with three different clubs, while Johnson was traded to the Phoenix Suns in his first year.
Arenas was unable to play in the NBA for a longer period of time due to injuries. However, due to an injury, he went on to become one of the league’s greatest second-round selections.
