Labor looking more and more like a ‘trojan horse’ government: Angus Taylor

Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor says it’s clear the Prime Minister said “one thing” on superannuation tax rates before the election and is saying “something quite different right now”.

His comments come as the Treasurer on Monday opened the door to changing superannuation tax concessions.

“I mean, he was unequivocal before the election,” Mr Taylor told Sky News Australia.

“Right now, he’s saying, ‘oh no, we’re going to look at things’.

“Australians were told very clearly that Labor wasn’t going to play around with superannuation.

“Australians want to have confidence that these very long-term investments aren’t going to be played with by the government.

“It’s not the government’s money – it’s their money.

“It’s looking more and more that this is a trojan horse government.”
